Programme terms
Every clause on this page is a sensible default, not a decision you have made. Read it, change what you disagree with, then delete this box (see README, “Decisions to confirm”).
What you are paying for
Both programmes are billed as a monthly fee, not an hourly rate. The fee covers the weekly lesson and the work around it: the initial diagnostic assessment, the plan that follows from it, work set between lessons, marking and feedback on that work, progress tracking, and a monthly update.
Lessons and billing
- The monthly fee covers four 60-minute lessons per billed month.
- Fees are payable monthly in advance.
- Where a month contains a fifth week, the additional lesson is offered at no extra charge or banked by agreement.
- Lessons continue through school holidays by default. If you would prefer to pause, tell me in advance and lessons are banked rather than lost.
Rescheduling and cancellation
- Get in touch as early as you can if a lesson needs moving and we will find another slot.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be able to be rearranged.
- If I need to cancel, the lesson is rearranged or credited.
Ending the programme
- Either of us may end the programme with one calendar month’s notice.
- There is no minimum term and no joining fee.
Support between lessons
You can message a question on any school day and expect an answer by the following evening. It is there to unstick a specific problem — it is not a replacement for a lesson, and it is not a 24-hour service.
What is not promised
No grade is guaranteed. What is committed to is an honest assessment, a plan built on it, work that is marked properly, and a monthly update so you can judge for yourself whether it is working.
Safeguarding
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and am happy to show it to any parent before lessons begin. As a qualified teacher I work to the same safeguarding standards I would in a school.
