A short, structured conversation about where the marks are going and what to do about it. It is not a free lesson, and it is not a sales call.
Six things in twenty minutes
- You tell me where things standYear group, subject, exam board, and what is actually going wrong. Two or three minutes.
- We establish the gapCurrent performance against the grade you are aiming for.
- We narrow down what is causing itFrom what you describe — and from a recent mock or marked paper if you have one to hand — we work out whether the problem is most likely knowledge, exam technique, application, calculations, question interpretation, or a combination.
- We look at what has already been triedRevision that isn’t working is worth knowing about, so we don’t repeat it.
- You get initial directionConcrete first steps you can act on straight away — whether or not you go on to work with me.
- We decide whether this is a fitIf I am not the right person, I will say so. That is a better outcome for everyone than a programme that doesn’t suit.
It is not a free tutoring lesson, and no one will be pressured into anything. If Learn & Smash is not the right fit for your child, I will say so on the call.
