Who I am
Learn & Smash is a tutoring service operated by Shakib. If you have any question about your data, email hello@learnandsmash.com.
What I collect
When you request a diagnostic, I collect the name, email address and — if you give it — telephone number of the person making the enquiry, along with the student’s year group, subject, exam board and current and target grades, and whatever you tell me about the difficulty the student is having.
Why I collect it
To reply to your enquiry, to run the diagnostic conversation, and, if you go ahead, to deliver and administer the tuition programme. The lawful basis is your consent for the initial enquiry, and the performance of a contract once a programme begins.
Who sees it
Only me. I do not sell data, I do not share it with third parties for marketing, and I do not add you to any mailing list without asking. The form and email systems used to receive and store enquiries are named in the README.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not become students are deleted within 12 months. Records for current and former students are kept for as long as is necessary and then deleted.
Children’s data
Enquiries are expected to come from a parent or guardian where the student is under 18. Information about a student is limited to what is needed to teach them well.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of the data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email the address above and I will action it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies and do not track individuals across websites. No advertising trackers are installed.
